12 year old August wins the DTU RoboCup 2016 Finals

The winner robot 'August' won superiorly. Last year's winner 'Sortskæg' did not get a placement in the competition.

37 robots and their owners entered the competition to show their skills in building and programming autonomous robots and qualifying for the DTU RoboCup 2016 Finals. 16 robots were chosen to continue to the Finals.

Thursday 21 April 2016 the Finals were held at the DTU Library at DTU Lyngby Campus. All contestants were ready for the start at 10 a.m.

Everybody were given two opportunities to get as many points as possible. The high-ranking 'Sortskæg' and 'Wild Willy' had to leave the competition quite early and this gave room for 12 year old August with his robot 'August' to win first prize.

1st prize 'August'
2nd prize 'Terminator'
3rd prize 'Trucking Control'

Best placed DTU robot went to: 'Oriental'

The special prize for design and effects went to: 'Humlebien'

Best fighter and the judges choice went to: 'Axel and Storm'

Best Video went to: 'Fætter Hjulben'
